Description

Kinsley is currently seeking Foremen to oversee riggers, millwrights, pipefitters, welders, and skilled laborers. Our work includes machinery moving, complete facility relocate, plant maintenance, piping disconnects and reconnects, and installation of various material handling systems. An ideal candidate should possess a solid background in the field, with strong leadership skills, and have the ability to direct work of others and make quick decisions. This position is a “Working Foreman” role and on smaller jobs, the Foreman will be responsible to work alongside of crews to assist completing the project.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure job sites are safe and implementing safe work practices and high quality work
  • Lead crew members to complete specific projects
  • Effectively delegate responsibilities and individual tasks to crew members
  • Oversee and train new crew members
  • Ability to communicate and report job status effectively
  • Utilize instruments for precise layout as needed
  • Supervise rigging work including jacking, skating, heavy forklift operation and loading/unloading trucks
  • Supervise steel erection including shake out, connections and detail work
  • Supervise installation of dust collection systems, conveyor systems, and various industrial equipment
  • Field verify dimensions and supervise field fabrication and fitting
  • Communicate and interface with clients maintaining Kinsley’s reputation as first-rate contractor
  • Read drawings, plans, and blueprints, and conveying this information to others
  • Identify and research adequate resources, labor, and equipment, to complete projects efficiently
  • Must be willing to travel out of town for some jobs and some may require overnight stay

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 5 years of field experience as millwright, rigger, and/or welder required
  • Previous experience directing workforce is required
  • Previous experience in installation of equipment in “heavy industry” and/or erection of mining equipment required
  • Must be willing to work some weekends as needed for client shutdowns
  • Must be able to work at heights utilizing ladders, man lifts, etc. is required
  • Ability to operate man lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, skid steer loaders, cranes, etc.
  • Comprehension of construction drawings is required
  • Must be familiar with or willing to learn OSHA and MSHA safety regulations
  • Must be familiar with working around cranes and hand signals
  • Willingness to multitask and strong communications skills are required
  • Strong math skills and computer skills are required
  • Current driver’s license is required
