Description

Kinsley’s Utilities division is seeking an experienced and driven Foreman to join our growing team. The Foreman is responsible for managing a utilities crew, maintaining daily schedules and following best practices. A successful candidate should possess two to three years of applicable field leadership experience and have knowledge in all areas of underground utility construction. All job sites will be local to Lancaster and Berks County, PA.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Effectively lead, manage and motivate crews of five to six individuals
  • Interpret job specifications and details
  • Plan and schedule for necessary manpower, tools, materials and equipment needed to complete the job
  • Responsible for completing daily timesheets and maintaining daily logs
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all areas of underground utility construction, replacement and installation
  • Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Two to three years of previous field leadership experience
  • Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs and moving whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling materials
  • Cooperate with division leadership and understand individual job site needs
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
  • Valid PA driver’s license and reliable transportation required
