Description

We are currently seeking experienced Crane Operators for our growing Industrial team. Successful candidates must possess previous experience and knowledge of operating crane equipment and have a desire to assist with form carpentry and rigging work. Our work includes machinery foundations, rigging, complete facility relocates, plant maintenance, heavy civil foundations, erection of aggregate systems and water/wastewater treatment. Our Crane Operators typically run rough terrain cranes, fixed cab carry deck cranes, boom trucks and heavy rigging equipment including Tri-lifter, Versa-lift and hydraulic gantries.  Employees will be based out of Kinsley’s York, PA location but travel in the mid-Atlantic region for projects will be required. Kinsley will provide hotels and transportation for this required work-related travel. We pay the highest per diem rate in our market for meals and expenses.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Loading and unloading of crane equipment from trailers
  • Directs the process of set up and tear down of cranes on site
  • Performs equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Clean equipment and maintain crane mechanisms
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting hours for routine maintenance
  • Adheres to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and state laws at all times
  • Ensures adherence to safe work practices and procedures
  • Perform rigging work including jacking, skating, heavy forklift operation and loading/unloading trucks
  • Assist with form carpentry for large structures
  • Perform installation of equipment and piping in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants

REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; secondary education is appreciated and will be considered when determining pay scale
  • Two to four years of experience is preferred but not required
  • Current licensures from the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) and applicable state licensing
  • Class A CDL is preferred but not required
  • Must be able to pass and maintain a DOT physical
  • Must be punctual, dependable and act as a team player
  • Ability to work under pressure effectively
  • Must be familiar with or willing to learn OSHA and MSHA safety regulation
  • Willingness to multitask and strong communications skills are required
  • Must be willing to work some weekends as needed for client shutdowns
  • Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions
  • Strong math skills are required
