Description
Kinsley is currently seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor for our growing site team. The Construction Surveyor will report directly to the Department head and must be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate calculations and work in a team-based environment. The Construction Surveyor is mainly responsible for performing topography, construction stakeout, as built and control surveys using both conventional and GPS methods. A successful candidate must be self-motivated, organized and technology oriented.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Stakeout all aspects of site projects
- Support site crews and GPS systems
- Perform office computations for stakeout
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- 3-5 years of experience as a construction layout surveyor with a strong focus on quality
- Proficient with both GPS and conventional robotic systems (experience with Trimble equipment a plus)
- Strong technical skills, attention to detail and knowledge of construction drawings (building and site)
- Ability to perform basic computer skills utilizing MS office and various software tools (Trimble Business center a plus)
- Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
- Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
