Employee Development Instructor

Kinsley Construction is seeking a qualified employee development instructor to become part of our growing Human Resources Development team in York, PA. The employee development instructor will be responsible for conducting training sessions while customizing existing materials to align with training requirements for the company.

An ideal candidate should demonstrate outstanding communication and organizational skills, be self-motivated, and have a willingness to acquire any necessary training certifications.

  • Conduct construction trainings in compliance with state and federal guidelines weekly at our central offices.
  • Update and improve instruction presentations as required.
  • Develop training materials that reduce employees’ exposure to hazardous materials and situations.
  • Stay up to date with the new upcoming safety regulation codes as needed.
  • Keep appropriate instructor certificates valid and current.
  • Perform other related duties to support the Human Resources Development team.
  • OSHA Trainer Certificate
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Rigging/Welding Certificate
  • MSHA Trainer Certificate
  • Bilingual is highly preferred (Spanish & English)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field; additional certifications in training and development are highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry, involving roles in training construction-related courses is required (OSHA, MSHA, First Aid, Rigging/Welding, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively teach others.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Passion for teaching, mentoring, and empowering individuals to succeed in their careers.
  • A valid driver’s license.
